GEOSTOR PROJECT – Subsea Carbon Dioxide Storage in Geological Formations of the German North Sea

We are excited to announce our participation in the GEOSTOR project (part of CDRmare).

GEOSTOR aims to find prospective areas for CO2 storage and design a roadmap for the implementation of CO2 storage within the German North Sea.

Working together with GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel, Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, TenzorGEO Ltd, TrueOcean GmbH and Carbon Management Canada.

We will help to reassess static CO2 storage capacities for the entire German North Sea, quantify dynamic storage capacities for two selected sites, study potential leakage pathways and mechanisms and assess potential environmental impacts during various project development stages.

Within this project K.U.M. Environmental- and Marine Technology GmbH does develop a concept for the potential monitoring hardware.
